"Denton, TX – Stephen McGee has accepted the position of Avionics Manager with US Avionics. The announcement was made by Michael Sykes, President of US Aviation, which owns the recently expanded avionics facility. As manager, McGee will be responsible for business development and sales, installations, warranty issues, repairs and reconditioning of all types of communication and avionics equipment, along with maintenance of the fleet of 25 aircraft utilized by the flight training program in the US Flight Academy in Denton and other facilities."

"Denton, TX – The US Aviation Group, which has been developing an ambitious flight training program, especially with foreign students, has signed on Patrick Dennis as head CFI for their new helicopter training program. Dennis will begin instruction in a Robinson R-22, soon to be supplemented with an R-22 simulator, and eventually an R-44."

"Denton, TX – US Aviation Group (USAG) and their affiliate US Flight Academy has received approval from the Chinese CAAC and America’s FAA to train Chinese students for careers as commercial pilots. The first group of 24 to 27 students, all college graduates aged 19 – 22, will arrive within a month."

"Denton, TX – This summer 39 students from the Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy (CNASA), got some real flight time in a Diamond DA-40 and Piper Warrior, thanks to the help of US Aviation Group. For many of the kids, aged 10 – 18, the field trip provided their first experience in a GA aircraft. The reaction was enthusiastic and universally positive. In addition to their experience with flight, they attended a ground school session with the US Flight Academy and visited the DTO control tower in Denton."

"US Aviation Group is a multi-faceted operation. They have their own shop that not only maintains their fleet to exceptional standards but also does work on outside aircraft. There is an avionics shop. They sell several brands of LSA aircraft, and currently have ten LSAs in stock for immediate delivery. They hope to have a permit to sell fuel soon. In short, they plan to be a full service operation - general aviation like it used to be..."

The Geneva-based International Air Transport Association reckons that the airline industry needs 3,000 pilots more each year than training schools can provide."

"Denton, TX - Responding to a rapidly growing demand for airline pilots, US Flight Academy has ramped up its recruiting and instruction activity. As the demand for airline seats continues to escalate, the airlines are facing a serious shortage of pilots. It is estimated that nearly 30,000 pilots will reach mandatory retirement age in the next ten years. Many of those pilots are former Vietnam veterans."
